Attempt to erase digital footprint

After the name of the well-known musician Potap appeared in the database of the organisation Myrotvorets, he launched an active campaign to remove mentions of himself from the internet. It is noted that fraudulent complaints are being used to achieve this goal. This approach allows the intention to remove inconvenient materials to be disguised as formal claims against hosting providers or website administrations.

Accusations from Myrotvorets

On the official Myrotvorets resource, the artist was characterised as a "provocateur". They also claim his "participation in acts of humanitarian aggression against Ukraine" and involvement in "information and propaganda measures aimed at destabilising public life in Ukraine". Among other things, Potap has been accused of travelling abroad for professional activities. Meanwhile, representatives of the organisation do not specify what exactly they mean by the term "humanitarian aggression".

Context: video with Kamenskykh

Previously, Potap, together with Nastya Kamenskykh, published a video appeal in which he emphasised that communicating in the Russian language is a right and a freedom. Nastya Kamenskykh was also included in the Myrotvorets database. Notably, this specific video does not feature in the list of claims currently being made against Potap in the context of his attempts to clean up the internet.
