Yesterday morning, Lena Dunham, star of the popular series Girls, was rushed to hospital. The actress complained of acute pain in her side. Examinations revealed that a cyst had ruptured in her ovary.

The actress is now due to undergo surgery.

Lena Dunham has spoken repeatedly about her endometriosis. Due to a flare-up, the actress declined public events a month ago, deciding to rest with close friends and family. However, this did not prevent the star from suffering a ruptured cyst.
