Rusfond asks to open criminal case over misappropriation of Zhanna Friske's funds

Rusfond, as promised, has applied to the Investigative Committee requesting the opening of a criminal case regarding the disappearance of funds raised for the treatment of the late Zhanna Friske.

According to representatives of the charitable organisation, relatives have still not accounted for the spending of more than 20 million rubles, which were transferred directly to the singer's personal account.

The funds were transferred by ordinary people after a donation drive was announced with the support of Channel One, and the organisation is obliged to provide a report on their expenditure. However, the singer's heirs are not in a hurry to provide such information. Friske's father has repeatedly voiced various versions of where the money disappeared to, claiming that it was either transferred to the clinic's accounts, stolen by the singer's common-law husband Dmitry Shepelev, or is still in the account.

Rusfond suspects that the money may have been transferred to third-party accounts to conceal it. Investigative authorities will now search for the missing funds.
