Former husband of Vaenga diagnosed with cancer

Doctors have diagnosed Ivan Matvienko, the former common-law partner of famous singer Elena Vaenga, with a cancerous disease. The singer announced this on her page on the social network Instagram.

Vaenga posted a photo of Matvienko smiling, under which she wrote:

"Рак можно победить... Можно победить много болезней... Я знаю... Давайте верить… Давайте помогать!!!" ("Cancer can be beaten... Many diseases can be beaten... I know... Let's believe... Let's help"!!!).

However, some time later, this post was deleted. The news provoked a mixed reaction among social media users. Some expressed sincere sympathy, while others, conversely, accused the singer of begging.

Vaenga and Matvienko were in a relationship for 16 years. They broke up four years ago.
