Blogger evaded 5 million hryvnia in taxes

Taxes and social media advertising: A Ukrainian blogger has become the subject of an investigation after it emerged that he failed to pay 5 million hryvnia in tax on advertising services. The blogger promoted goods on social media and received significant sums of money for it, but his financial transactions were not declared.

Cryptocurrency as an evasion scheme: According to data from the Bureau of Economic Security (BES), the suspect transferred his income into cryptocurrency, which allowed him to conceal the actual size of his earnings. He then exchanged the digital assets for cash to avoid scrutiny by tax authorities.
