Famous Ukrainian singer and Eurovision 2016 winner Jamala got married today. The artist’s chosen one was her boyfriend, Bekir Suleymanov.

The wedding took place today, 26 April, at the Islamic Cultural Centre in the Ukrainian capital.

The ceremony followed Crimean Tatar traditions. The rite is called nikah.

The singer received a proposal last autumn, but did not rush into the wedding, postponing it until the warmer months.

Jamala and her partner are Crimean Tatars by birth. They both currently live in Kyiv.
