Ivan Urgant obtains Israeli citizenship

Famous TV presenter Ivan Urgant has decided to change his citizenship. The artist and his family have officially become Israeli citizens. Urgant and his wife received the documents at Tel Aviv airport.

The family will now be able not only to live and work in Israel but also to travel around the world without visas. More than 160 countries offer this privilege to the country's citizens.

It is worth noting that Urgant received his Israeli passport just one month after reports emerged that he was not paying taxes and was receiving his salary in cash from Alexey Mordashov.

The artist quickly reacted to the news about his citizenship. According to Urgant, he remains a Russian citizen. However, the presenter did not deny the information that he now also holds an Israeli passport.
