New candidate for Eurovision from Russia identified

Given that Eurovision 2017 candidate Yulia Samoylova will simply not be allowed into Ukraine, while the country's place in the contest is retained, the Russian side was offered to select another participant who would not violate the country's laws and could actually take part in the competition.

Scandalous actor Nikita Mikhalkov immediately decided to seize the opportunity. From his Instagram page, he expressed his desire to represent Russia in the contest. However, the actor forgot that he actually holds a Ukrainian passport. Furthermore, following his visit to the DNR and the acquisition of a passport from the unrecognised republic, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are eager to see him.

Another candidate became Olga Buzova, a star of "House 2", who is only taking her first steps on stage and simply cannot sing without a backing track.

Naturally, this was an April Fools' joke. But, as they say, there is some truth in every joke...
