Basman Court in Moscow remands Yury Dud in custody in terrorism case
A judge at the Basman District Court in Moscow ordered blogger Yury Dud to be held in custody for two months on charges of promoting terrorism.
Singer Maxim emerges from coma
The first positive news regarding the health of singer Maxim has emerged today. The 38-year-old artist is on the mend. Doctors have brought her out of an induced coma and disconnected her from the ventilator.
The singer is now breathing independently. However, she still requires supplemental oxygen periodically. Therefore, a mask is always kept nearby. When necessary, Maxim uses it to inhale oxygen.
At present, the performer is in the intensive care unit. The lung, which was severely damaged by pneumonia, is returning to normal. However, fluid is periodically drained from it.
To help distract the artist, medical staff push her around the ward in a wheelchair. Maxim also occasionally watches television. However, it is too early to speak of a full recovery. The singer faces a long rehabilitation process.
