Divorce worth $20 million

The uproar surrounding the divorce of Evgeny Petrosyan and his wife Elena Stepanenko has not subsided for days. After a long marriage, the couple failed to part amicably and decided to have a court divide more than $20 million in assets acquired during their marriage.

According to Petrosyan's lawyer, Sergey Zhorin, Stepanenko was offered 50% of all jointly acquired property and funds. However, she refused and demanded more.

In fact, this is the right decision. Had Elena Stepanenko agreed to half, she would likely not have received even one-third of the total assets. In the current scenario, she will definitely get 50% in court, and perhaps a bit more on top.

It is worth recalling that the reason for the divorce was a romance between the 72-year-old Petrosyan and his 28-year-old assistant. At this point, it is not just a matter of grey hair in the beard.
