Basman Court in Moscow remands Yury Dud in custody in terrorism case
A judge at the Basman District Court in Moscow ordered blogger Yury Dud to be held in custody for two months on charges of promoting terrorism.
Alexey Zharikov has died
Renowned actor Alexey Zharikov has died. This was announced by the Russian Union of Cinematographers.
"Ушел удивительно талантливый артист, скромный, добрый человек" (A remarkably talented artist, a modest and kind person, has passed away), - this message appeared on the website of the Russian Union of Cinematographers.
Alexey Zharikov passed away at the age of 69.
Audiences remember the actor for his role as Baron Danglars in the film "The Prisoner of the If Castle" and as an investigator in the movie "Criminal Talent".
In total, Alexey Zharikov played more than 100 roles. In 2012, the actor suffered his first stroke. A new attack occurred in March 2016.
