Addictive disorders specialist offers theory on Dmitry Maryanov's death

Famous actor Dmitry Maryanov died a few days ago. Rumours immediately surfaced that the artist had alcohol problems. He allegedly underwent addiction treatment at the very mysterious country facility where he subsequently died tragically.

Dmitry Vashkin, the chief physician of the Marshak Clinic and an addictive disorders specialist, partially confirmed many people's suspicions.

The doctor put forward his own version of events, based on the sequence of occurrences and the speed at which they unfolded. Vashkin believes that death may have resulted from alcohol withdrawal, known as abstinence syndrome. Maryanov's severe condition could also have been caused by cardiovascular insufficiency, a condition frequently triggered by alcohol abuse.
