Renowned actor dies suddenly

Renowned Soviet actor and star of "The Prisoner of Zenda" Alexei Petrenko has died suddenly at the age of 79. The artist passed away in Russia, where he spent most of his life.

There is currently no information on the cause of death.

Alexei Petrenko was born on 26 March 1938 in Ukraine, in a small village in Chernihiv Oblast. The actor received his education at the Kharkiv Theatre Institute. He worked in Zaporizhzhia, then in Mariupol, after which he was invited to the Leningrad Lendsoviet Theatre.

In total, Alexei Petrenko appeared in more than 80 films.
