David Bowie dies

On 8 January, the renowned singer and actor David Bowie celebrated his 69th birthday, and two days later, on 10 January, the artist passed away.

The performer had been desperately battling cancer for a year and a half, but he died yesterday.

Bowie died surrounded by his family and loved ones.

David Bowie had been active in the creative arts for 50 years, appearing in films, writing and performing musical compositions, and working as a producer.
